I've found semi relevant wiring information (not specific to 07 GMC Canyon), but it's missing the function of the two purple wires and orange one. Appear to be power related. My manual does not show the wiring diagram. Thanks in advance.
Grey is the 07 wiring, black and white are what I'm hooking it up too.

Radio 12V      orange      +      radio
Radio Ground      black/white      -      radio
Radio Ignition      (Class 2 Serial Data)
Radio Illumination      (Class 2 Serial Data)
Left Front Speaker (+/-)      tan - gray      +,-      radio
Right Front Speaker (+/-)      lt. green - dk. green      +,-      radio
Left Rear Speaker (+/-)      brown - yellow      +,-      radio
Right Rear Speaker (+/-)      dk. blue - lt. blue      +,-      radio
You will have to find a switched power source to connect to the red wire of the radio. If the Air Conditioner control piece has a plug with larger wires than the other plug, there is a brown wire on the plug with the larger wires.
