Scrambling at the last minute again, trying to be sneaky and install a remote start system for my girlfriends Accent.
I bought a kit off Amazon, that was supposed to be tailored specifically to the vehicle I'm installing it into, and the instructions were supposed to be clear and concise.
Well, their directions were GARBAGE and I should have taken the hint from product when it had ZERO stars or Reviews.
I'm following and fumbling through the instructions, but of course the tech support is unavailable during the weekends. I'm hung up on finding the correct wire for the door locks (+).
I was supposed to get a wire sheet with colors and functions, but it wasn't included in the PDF. I found some diagrams here on this site, and it says that the wire I need is brown.
Here is a snapshot from the PDF I'm trying to follow:

my problem is I CANNOT find this wire. In the location that the diagram that I found here at the 12Volt, it says it should be in the drivers side kick panel and brown wire. I have a couple of
brown wires there, however none of them show no voltage at rest (-) and 12 volts (+) while triggering the lock button which is what my installation guide is telling me that I need.
It's important for this particular install, because it uses the factory key fobs lock button (3 presses) to engage the remote start. I thought it would be nice than having another fob.
Anyways, I know that it's an important and critical wire to connect.
ANY HELP would be great, I'm trying to do this covert.. time is against me when I can sneak out and work on it, or get her away from the car..
THANK YOU!

Check for a gray wire at pin 22 of the white 42 pin plug (F) at the dash fuse box.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
