2007 Ford F550 6.0 No electric windows, seats or alarm (that I know of), non-electronic key entry
Hi folks; I hope someone can point me in the right direction on this. The vehicle is a new to me, 2007 F550 6.0 cab & chassis (previous fleet vehicle). I've seen a previous PO has attached a cross over wire to two wires in the fuse panel bundle. Since the bundle was cut open and the wires were hanging out, where a foot could catch them, it caught my eye. A black cross over wire has been attached to what looks like a yellow/black and a yellow/green (maybe blue?).
While attached, the vehicle starts normally. All dash lights and chimes OK. When removed, I get dash lights/displays and chimes but starter will not engage with key turn. I went through all ignition related fuses and relays and all are OK. No codes are active.
I'm posting here in the hope someone may recognize the use of this wire, possibly for a now missing alarm?either.
I don't have access to a schematic and to tell the truth I'm not all that great at wiring troubleshooting. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

T-Taps ...always the sign of a bad installer. I suggest removing all T-Taps and butt connectors and returning all wiring back to OE. Unless you are trying to retain some feature that was added to the vehicle that you like.

Hi - Thanks for replying.
That's what I'd like to do. (I hate t-taps. I call them parasites) but when I remove the cross-over wire (with taps), I get dash lights/displays and chimes but starter will not engage with key turn. The butt connectors appear to just be extending current wiring back upon themselves.
Maybe I missed something. I'll double-check tomorrow.
