Hi i have a hard time with this and have asked and looked all over. its hard when you dont have a wire diagram in front of you. I have a shift light in my 2001 330i and I need to find out what color and where the 12v coil positive wire is for rpm sensor?

Your tach wire is black and can be found at the diagnostic plug on the passenger side of engine

Mecp Certified

Double check advice with your Meter.

Ok thanks for your help. Im still not sure if this is the 12v Coil positive wire. here is what im hooking up
