I'd like to set up my 2004 Ford F-150 SuperCab FX4 to allow the power windows and power rear window to operate whenever the dome light is on, either by cross connecting the circuits directly or using an isolation relay turned on by the dome circuit that would then turn on the window circuit. Then I could open or close the windows whenever the door was open or when I "force" the dome light on with the dash switch. That way, when I don't have a key on me I can still operate the windows to close the truck up for the night or open it in the morning, especially since I can unlock the door with the keypad.
Anyone have a good enough wiring diagram or details on the wiring, or know where I can find the info on-line, so that I could figure out how to make it work? ALLDATA doesn't seem to have the '04 F-150 info available yet, and I don't know another good place to find it.
Thanks in advance -

Never tried it, but IN THEORY here's how I would do this:
There's gonna be a wire at the main switch in the drivers door that gives the windows ignition/accessory power. So test all the wires until you find one that gets ignition/accessory power, should be a fairly thick wire. Once you find it, CUT that wire in half. Do your windows still work? If not, continue.. Now use a relay off the door trigger, to supply constant power to that wire.
Pin 85: To BLACK/ blue (+) domelight wire in driver door sill
Pin 86: To ground
Pin 30: To switch side of ignition/accessory wire
Pin 87: To constant 12volts FUSED
Pin 87a: To car side of ignition/accessory wire
When the domelights on, the relay is activated and supplies constant power to the operate the windows. As you can see above you want to CUT the ignition/accessory lead to the switch, and put pin 30 to the window switch side, and pin 87a to the other side. Like I said in theory, this is how I would wire it up. Also if possible just pop out the window switch panel on the driver door panel and find what wire is the ignition/accessory power wire. The wire will be coming in the driver boot into the kick panel somewhere there's NO reason for you to run any wires or anything into the door itself for this.
Just remember this when you find the wire at the switch, don't cut it there, find the same wire in the boot or kick panel, and make your connetions there. As stated never tried this, but it should work. No guarantees and I won't be responsible should anything get screwed up!
Good luck,
Mike
