Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)

I'm installing navigtion system into my RX300 which has to be connected to the VSS (vehicle speed sensor)

People are saying it the violet/white wire. Where is it located on a 1999 rx-300? Is it connected to the main ECU or the cruise control? 1999 rx-300, Vehicle Speed Sensor -- posted image.

By the way where are people tapping for the the reverse light (Tail end of the car)? or at the shifter? and the illumination

Please provide wire color and location if known

AT ECM ( ECM BEHIND GLOVE BOX ) 28 PIN CONNECTOR PIN 22 & if you can access the reverse lights at the shifter it will be easier.
