97 dodge ram vss

I am installing a navigation unit in my 1997 dodge ram. The navigation unit needs a vss wire hook up on it but it has 2 differnent types of hook ups. The navigation instructions says I need to know if my trucks VSS signal is a sine wave or a square wave signal. I cant find this info anywhere so any help is much appreciated!. I tried calling the company who makes the navigation unit but I cant get anyone but a voice mail service.  1997 dodge ram 4x4 with the 5.9  motor.

i had a '96 ram..still have service manual, '97 should be the same.  the vss wire (WHITE/ orange) is a pulsed/square wave output.
