if you have to install a stereo you can use a gm onstar bose adaptor such as a digistar X standard digistar will not work just take out the illumination wire and plug in the aftermarket plug where there is two purple wires there is one that goes 2 nothing after you insert the wire tap the data wires together this will let you be able 2 remove the factory so the onstar will still work and you will get the onstar through the front speakers and also the same kit that goes in a malibu does not fit METRA deosnt believe me go get one and try it your self. the factory amp is in the driverside rear and it is attached the the sub box

The dash kit that fits the H3 is Metra's 99-3304 Buick Terazza/Saturn Relay/Pontiac Montana kit. It is for single-din provision only, providing a pocket and a DIN opening for the radio. Double-Din applications will fit, but fabrication is required to fill the large gap left around the radio. Also the speed sense wire is found behind the radio in the 12-pin plug. It is GREEN / WHITE in the pin location marked "E". I have installed several Kenwood DDX-7015's, DDX-6017's, & DDX-7017's along with Kenwood Navigation systems, satellite radio and I-Pod adapters. I've had a lot of sucess with Peripheral Electronic's GMAH-24B. A little noise on On-Star operation so I install a 1K-Ohm resistor on On-Star audio ground out of GMAH-24B.
