I recently installed a sub in my 05 denali and after everything was put back together i noticed that my instrument cluster wasnt glowing. I took everything apart and checked for cut wires, then checked the fuse panel....nothing. Yes the wheel switch is on. If I slide it all the way up the dome lights come on as they should.

Where do I begin to look for the source of my problem now?

  • Test all fuses with a DMM not with your eyes.
  • Did you remove the OEM radio or just used the high level/LOC for sub amp integration ?
  • Do you have the Bose system
  • What LOC did you use ?

Need some more information from you to help you out.

Still have to test the fuses, but I used a soundgate LOC(loc4 i believe), I do have the bose system with the original radio still in.

I tested the fuses and theyre fine. What would the loc or any stereo part have to do with the dash illumination. Id also like to add that everything else lights up as it should except for the gauges.

The only part of the stereo that connects with the dash lights from the stereo is the illumination & dimmer. You might have to bring in the truck to a GM dealer to get the scan tool on it to see if there's something wrong with the BCM.
