I need help, I have a 2001 Ford Taurus w/ the mach audio. I am adding my subs, and amps via  a LOC w/ remote turn on lead. However when I installed the LOC the power comes on except when the turn on lead is connected to the amp, then the LOC shuts down, Can anyone help me as to why this is happining, I do believe I have correct wiring in regards to + & - with the input for the loc tapping in off the rear speakers, Any help would be greatly appreciated as " factory premium audio systems" are not exactly premium in anyones vocabulary

Thank You for any help you could give me

Keith

Are you sure that the LOC requires a (+) signal ? I have used many LOC's that use a (-) grounding wire instead of a (+) trigger. Check to ensure that the wire is infact a (+) trigger wire. If so, then you will have to grab a switched ignition wire from somewhere else that have a higher output current than the current wire.

If there are only 2 sets of speaker inputs and one other input or wire then chances are that it is for a ground.  When you ground that wire it will eliminate engine noise sometimes.  Also the loc deals mostly with ac current ( audio signal ) which will not supply a source dc current to turn an amplifier on.  Most loc I dealt with do not supply a remote turn on lead for the amplifier.  The ones that I have dealt with that do supply a remote turn on require both a constant 12+ and a ground.  When these are used the loc detects current from the speaker inputs and send a remote out at that time.  It would prob be better to tag a acc/ign wire for the remote turn on lead to the amplifier.
