Hey EDTFUN, what specific information or parts of the install do you need help with?
For the wiring info for your vehicle look here: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=1998&make=Mitsubishi&model=Eclipse&ID=18460&type=Alarm

Hey EDTFUN,

What brand and model is your starter?  Is your Mtsu a manual?

IT IS AN ULTRASTARTER 1250M. I AM JUST LOOKING FOR THE TACH WIRE NOW. I STARTED WORKING ON THE INSTALL LAST NIGHT, BUT WAS UNABLE TO FINISH. YES MY MITSU IS A MANUAL.

P.S. PLEASE DON'T MIND THE CAPS.

Can I find a tach signal inside the car, because I can't find a hole in the fire wall to run a line to the engine compartment. Other than that I think that every thing else is O.K. I also need to know weather or not i need to use the hood pin.

O.K. evey thing is on and working, there is one problem. The remote starter will not start unless

I hold the clutch in. The installation guide says that as long as the remote starter is set for reservation mode, that it should start. By pushing in the brakes, and pulling the parking brake, when I turn the key off, and take it out the car still is running. When I exit the car, and close the door the car shuts off, and is in reservation mode. According to this installation guide, this process is the temporary clutch bypass.

I need to know how to get the car to remote start with out me in the car. 98 mitsu eclipse -- posted image.

Hi Edtfun, first thing that comes to mind...did you wire it to bypass the clutch? I realize it has the capability to bypass the clutch, but if you didn't wire it, you'll need to add a relay to close the two leads on the clutch switch during remote start.
