I'd like some information on the location and specifications of my truck's factory amp, so that I can properly rewire my speakers to bypass it. Any help is appreciated.

IT is either below the radio or behind the pasengerside rear quarter panel. It will look like a small metal finned box with either 1 or 2 connectors attached to it.

Now my problem is what wires to connect to what? I recognize the speaker output wires from installing my new door speakers, but I can't tell which wires are for which speaker on the input connector. I was planning on just splicing the amp's input wires to it's output wires, how can I find out which ones to connect?

Nevermind, I just ended up buying one of those amp bypass harnesses, since the info I was looking for seems to be impossible to find.
