Could anyone please help me locate the reverse light trigger on my 2001 Kia Sportage.

I am trying to install a rearview lcd with camera input, and need to connect the green reverse light trigger so that the lcd turns on automatically when I put the car in reverse. I think it should be by the driver side kick panel, but am not sure which wire and where.

Any help is truly appreciated. thanks!!

Thank you very much. I will now be able to finish my installation tonight!

I have another questions for you... My gauge panel is progressively getting worse.

First the light on the panel that indicates when I have the car in Drive stopped coming on. When I put the car in any other gear, it lights up, but not when I put it in drive. Every once in a blue moon, it will come on and stay for a few mintues, but then it disappears for months.

Then later, the light that comes on for low fuel and the beep stopped working as well. The needle indicator seems to work, but not the low fuel warning.

I was told by someone to check the lights on the guauge when I first turn on the car and leave the key in the start position. This should light up all the lights (seatbelt warning, low fuel, abs, etc..) WHne I did this, the low fuel and drive seem to be the only ones that do not work.

Do you know if this is a wiring problem, bulb problem, or if the whole gauge panel might need to be replaced?

Also, I noticed on two or three ocassions that when I was driving the speedometer between 15mph and 20 mph would have the neddle jump all over the place. Once I passed 20mph the needle would resume normally.  This happened a few times during the summer, but has not re-occured in the last month.

I am not sure what to do.
