Hi All,
I am working on installing a Viper 5900 w/ a 1700G on a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer with factory keyless entry/alarm.
I have the general wiring info for this vehicle, but I can't seem to find much information on hooking up the 1700g, specifically the door lock / factory alarm wires.
Could someone possibly provide me with the vehicle specific wiring info for the 1700g on an 05 Trailblazer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Darin

Thanks for you help, however it doesn't help me any. That's the same documentation that comes with the 1700g.
Here's what I need to know:
   DEI 1700G Wiring
Pin Color        Details
--------------------------------------------------
1    Red          done
2    Black        done
3    BROWN / White Connect this wire to the Auxiliary Channel output from the alarm system to use the vehicle’s factory panic alarm. (Does this go to the factory alarm, or to the new one. If factory, where?)
4    GREEN/ Black done
5    Violet/Black   done
6    Blue/Black     done
7    RED / White    Connect this wire to the Auxiliary Channel output from the alarm system to open the trunk (N/A on this vehicle I believe?)
8    Green          done
9    Gray/Black    done
10   Light Blue    done
11    Blue           Connect this wire to a wire that goes to ground and stays at ground the whole time the Vehicle is in Remote Start Mode. (Any Suggestions?)
12    Purple       done
I guess I don't understand how this unit interfaces with the factory keyless entry / alarm.
Also, if this unit connects to the Viper's door lock / unlock wires, then what connects to the vehicles door locks?
I'm obviosly missing something here, and it's probably something stupid I'm just overlooking, but if someone could lend a hand that would be great. It's getting cold out and I miss my remote start. 2005 trailblazer 1700g wiring -- posted image.

i would say
BROWN / white    RED / white u dont need
blue gets connected to grouned while running wire coming from the alarm
and the door locks are connted to the car by the pruple wire running to the obd port that its connected too.

Thanks,
That sounds correct, after looking at the instructions for a few other DEI modules, I believe I figured out what I didn't understand. That the 1700G sends/receives all it's signals to the vehicle via the purple ODB wire.
Like I said, figured it was something simple I was missing.
