For your application you would be best to stick with the factory Nav radio. It is the only one which will allow everything that currently exists in your truck to continue to work. Going with an aftermarket radio would mean that your 6 disc changer and rear audio controls wouldn't work anymore. You would also need a couple of extra modules to allow the radio to integrate with the Onstar system and steering wheel controls. You will need a very specific Nav radio meant for a Denali or Escalade from 2003 to 2006. You also need the factory GPS antenna and the Navigation DVD. A GM dealer can set the radio up to work in your truck with their scan tool for a small fee.

You'll find the Tech 2 won't be needed for that truck unless the factory nav unit you buy has been plugged in to another truck once before. I agree tho, to get everything to work you need to get an OEM nav. Check Ebay....

The Tech II must be used to configure the radio. If not, there will be problems with the backlighting in the radio, the radio will read Delphi when turned on, the radio may create a battery draw and will eventually go into lock mode. It is wise to do things right and have the dealer set it up.
