I have a AVIC-N2 and the screen will not open at all. when you press the button it beeps and you can hear something going on but doesnt open. i feel i could fix it myself but would like any input if anyone else has had this problem. the cd player and radio work fine.I also dont have a manual for this unit and i couldnt get any sound through my amp using the rca output from the box. this is my first post so thanks in advance

Could be as simple as the sleeve is to tight, pressing down on the moving screen part, or striped an gear on the drive mech.
