I got a recall on my truck (air bag reprogram). I took it to the dealer and they couldn't reprogram because I have an aftermarket remote start system.
They said that I need to reconnect the starter wire and also DISCONNECT the datalink in order for them to run the reprogram procedure (air bag system).
Any ideas of which wires and where to find those? any diagrams or pictures will help a lot. I appreciate all the help. I don't know what model of remote start system is, all I know is a 2-way AUTOPAGE remote start. If you need more info please let me know.
ok let't start. (+) is positive (-) is negative.

there shouldn't be anything but the security light cut and that just to keep it from flashing while remote started. Any bypass in the last several years has just gone through the can h/can l wires at the obd connector. Sounds like the dealership being the dealership and scared of there own shadow. Honestly i would take it to a installer to look at it, maybe just disconnect it the remote start and take it back to them.

The first thing that I told them was that if it will be ok just to disconnect the remote starter from the "brain" and they say NO. The wires for the datalink need to be cut in order to work and starter wire needs to be reconnected.
