Alpine Bypass for i209-WRA

Hey guys I’m new here but I’ve been trolling for a long time. This place has taught me a lot! I have a 2017 Jeep Wranglef Unlimited and I want to install an Alpine i209-WRA headunit with the HCE-TCAM1-WRA backup cam/3rd brake light unit. I want to bypass the Alpine parking/foot brake video lockout using a BestBypass bypass unit. My issue is that BestBypass says to cut the parking/foot brake wires and wire the bypass directly to the unit. If I do cut the brake wires then would it render the backup cam’s plug and play harness useless? I know that I can hardwire it by tapping into the 3rd brake light wire etc. The i209 does come with an idatalink maestro module which I believe is getting the brake signals through canbus. I tried calling Alpine but they naturally said they couldn’t help. Hopefully someone here can help me out!2 wire hook em up. 3 wire f em up.

At the radio itself, the only thing that should be connected to the radio's Yellow/Black and Yellow/Blue wires is the bypass.

I looked over the alpine’s main harness. I found the yellow/blue at the main power connector but no yellow/black. The yellow/black I found in a plug that goes into the Maestro module and also into the rear camera plug. The harness came tesa taped up from Alpine but I’m assuming that the yellow black is splice somehow.2 wire hook em up. 3 wire f em up.

Ok so i contacted the bypass company BestBypass. As it turns out for newer Alpine AV units Alpine has done away with the Yellow/Black (foot brake) wire in the harness. If you take a look at the harness there is an empty spot directly above the Yellow/Blue (e-brake) wire. So on the bypass itself they said Wire the bypass’ Black wire to ground, the bypass’ blue wire to remote turn on (Blue/White on Alpine headunit), tape/cap off the bypass’ yellow wire (this would be for the foot brake). Lastly on the Alpine main power harness plug you will find the Yellow/blue e-brake wire. Cut this wire into 2 ends. The end going toward the maestro module will be taped/capped off. The end going toward the radio is where you will connect the bypass’ green wire. The Yellow/black foot brake wire that I found before is only for the rear cam/brake light unit and is only used for such. It does NOT have and effect on video in motion.2 wire hook em up. 3 wire f em up.
