2012 Toyota Sienna XLE.
This vehicle has a new Kenwood DNX-997XR Nav unit with DVD/CD. An iDatalink Maestro ADSMRR was also installed to run the Kenwood through the vehicle and control an Alpine HCE-C1100 backup camera, a universal front camera, and the steering wheel controls.
The question is can more aftermarket electronics be added without overloading the CANBUS? Specifically a Brand Motion RDBS-1500 electronic blind spot system. It needs the CANBUS data to read the vehicles speed to operate properly.
If CANBUS will be overloaded, can the RDBS-1500 be hardwired away from CANBUS directly to the VSS signal?
Thanks.

CAN Bus for these devices should be read only. "Bandwidth" should not be an issue.
As for the Blind Spot Sensing System...The PBS-MW01 is a better system than the Brand Motion version.

Avoid Brandmotion if at all possible. Their support is terrible and they do not honor their warranty. I will be post a full write-up shortly of all of the issues I'm having with a camera kit I bought for my Jeep.
