Hello folks, I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe that  I'm currently installing a Pioneer  Nav-SYS910DVD in. My problem is that  this system has two units, the AVH-6500 head unit and the AVID 80DVD Navigation unit. Each one has a seperate ORANGE / White illumination lead for nighttime driving. How and where do one or both of these wires get hooked up so I can make this feature work? Thanks!!!

Hook both of the leads together and connect them to the gray wire either off the headlight switch or in the radio's plug. Test the wire first with a meter as there are duplicates at the radio. This wire is supplies the dash backlighting and dims with the dash lights when the dimmer is used.

I am hooking up the same system in my 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport.

We hooked up the head unit one day, and everything was fine. The next day, we hooked up the nav unit by tapping into the matching wires on the head unit.  Now my illumination fuse under the hood keeps blowing.  I've checked all my connections and it all looks good.  I've even tried unhooking everything, leaving just the factory harness (we didn't touch this), and it still blows.

Any ideas?

Ty
