I bought a used 2000 Tahoe with an aftermarket video (cheap Chinese VCR under the 2nd row seat and a flip-out TV in the overhead console) about a year ago. Used to work fine, but recently I discovered that it doesn't anymore: 12V is no longer there. I tried to trace the wiring and discovered that 12V+ connected to VCR goes under a panel on the left B-pillar, turns from red to purple there, then goes up and under the headliner, emerges in the overhead console (and connects to the TV) and then loops back under the headliner. For the life of me I can't figure out which 12V circuit is it plugged into. I checked some of the more obvious fuses - all are fine. All accessories: lights, lighter sockets etc. seem to work.

If you were putting an aftermarket video into a Tahoe, which 12V circuit would YOU feed it from? :-)  What spot in the vehicle would typically be used to connect the power lines?

Thanks in advance for any ideas,

...Max...

You are going to need to trace the power wires to the source to see if the fuse has blown or if the connection came loose. It is the only way. Chances are that the power connections are either at the ignition harness or the radio.
