Hello all,

A friend of mine just bought a new 04 expedition.  He bought it with the 6 disc in the dash.  He would like to add dvd and navigation up front and still retain his in-dash 6 disc head unit.  We were thinking that we could use the space in the very front of the center console and fiberglass up an enclosure.  My big question is how we would interface the DVD/Navigation/Factory HU, or would we even have to?  My friend wants voice activated navigation with voice responses while listening to the factory CD changer.  He also wants the ability to play DVD's through the stock sound system.  Is it possible?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Russell

Your friend could get the alpine in dash flip out tv with nav. system and if i', roght soundgate makes an adapter for the alpine to control the factory changer. I'll double check for you when i go back to work

Awesome!

It would be great if there was an adapter to control the factory in-dash cd changer.

Awesome,

I didn't realize that anyone made an adapter to control in-dash changers.  If it were possible, that would be the best way to go.

Thanks,

Russell
