I havent done an overhead video job in a vehicle with side curtain airbags yet, but im just wondering what precautions you have to take when your fishing your signal wires through the headliner down pillar posts where you would be likely to encounter side curtain airbags.

we had to seen a VW toureg back to the dealership to deactivate them and had them drop the headliner for us just incase since we haven't done one we didn't know what to expect. Once it was all done we put everything back together including the headliner and sent it back to the dealer to reactivate them.

The last few i've done (mountaineers, navigators) i've routed them foward, around the sunroof, and then to where the visor is (unscrewing it) and then down the a-pillar.

Usually once you get up there you should see the OEM wires running down one side of the car, and down the a-pillar in front. Just mimic the factory wires and run yours along with it. This usually means running your wires about a foot or so in from the molding going along the headliner so look around there.
