Does anyone have an idea how i can make my power inverter come on/of like an amp does. I don't want to have to remember to cut it off everytime i get out the car.

Just run it properly fused to a ignition triggered source, this will solve your problem, when you turn the ignition on it will turn the inverter on, when you turn it off, the inverter will go off.

How large is the inverter? If it is like a 150 then you can use a relay and run it to an ign wire or switch (or both so you can choose to have it one when the car is on and you hit the switch).
