this unit requires the brake wire to be hooked up so that the unit sees 12v until the brake is pulled, then it sees ground. now here is my question, if i hook up a relay so that 85 and 87 are grounded, 87a gets 12v constant and 87 gets 12v on a switch, and of course 30 goes to the parking brake wire.  would that help "trick" the unit into thinking the e-brake is pulled?

or you could just connect a toggle switch to the parking break wire turn your car on then flip the swithc from off to on then back off again...

If you do this your going to see sparks when the relay is N/O in the 87a position because your connecting the parking brake wire to 30. If you want to just use the toggle switch idea , it's alot easier. If you want to use the a relay have it so that engages after the ignition is turn on and will turn off after the ignition is off.
