...for a 5" screen.

I recently purchased a LSHR5 (Legacy 5" Color Monitor) off of Ebay. The seller did not have any documentation to go with the monitor. Is there a way I can download or receive a manual on how to use it? Or does anybody have any idea what each wire is?

The pic doesnt show the colors clearly. They are from left to right ground, Red, Orange, Yellow. That is all the wires that are coming from it.

I have sent an Email to Legacy, but have yet to receive a response.

Ground is Ground

Red is 12 volt

orange no impact

Yellow is acc

what about video and audio inputs? where are those located?

Dude the yellow and shield wire is your video input

The red and orange maybe the same as old school pioneer red= acc+ and orange= batt+

Well I did some probing...and this is what I know so far.

Red is power to the screen, the silver wire is the ground. When 12V+ is applied to these two the unit powers on.

This leaves the Yellow and orange. When I touched the orange wire with my finger, it cause the internal speaker to produce static. This leads me to believe that the orange wire is the input for sound and that would leave the yellow for video.

Only problem is...doesnt audio need a signal and ground and the same with video? Do I wire the Audio/Video grounds to the common ground on the unit that I used to power it with? I havent done this yet, I dont want to blow anything out, but is that how it works?

Please excuse me, this is the 1st time I have messed with one of these.

I forgot to add...

I opened up the unit and the only wires it has are those 4. Also, the PCB says LM50XSB. I tried searching for that through google and yahoo with no luck. Legacy 5 Color Monitor wires? -- posted image.

if you've correctly identified the power wires, you won't blow anything experimenting with an audio/video input. you are probably correct that all inputs use the common ground.
