I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed, though i was unable to find any related information.  With that said I have a problem with the audio on my AVIC-N1 and wanted to see if there were any obvious issues that I'm overlooking.

I have had my AVIC-N1 installed and working for a couple of years with no problems.  Then about two weeks ago I began having the "blank video" issue.  At first the video went blank but I didn't have any problems with the audio.  After a few days the audio suddenly went out as well.  After reading through some forums I was made aware of the "ribbon" issue and went ahead and ordered the replacement ribbon.  I successfully installed the ribbon and my video is now working perfectly.  However, the audio is still not working.  Bear in mind, when i say the audio isn't working, I don't just mean for music/radio, even the audible noises that the N1 emits when selecting options are inaudible.  It would appear that I have a problem with my speaker connection, though to my knowledge nothing has changed (I didn't do the original install, but I have gone through all the cable connectors to ensure that everything was well connected and to ensure that there wasn't an obvious "disconnect" somewhere).

Aside from the audio issue the only other problem I am having (and i'm not sure if they are related, but in the event this helps I figured I'd throw it in there) is with my rear view camera.  My reverse indicator is working fine as the display switches to "rear" video when I am in reverse, however, all I see is a black screen.

To summarize, AVIC-N1 was working (including rear camera).  Blank video screen occurred, then loss of all audio.  Replaced ribbon to resolve video issue (video now working fine), but still having problems with audio and rear view camera.

I don't know enough about the installation of this system to accurately troubleshoot this, but my assumption was it may be a bad ground or something of that sort.  My question would be if it is a bad ground, would I expect to get video and not audio or would the entire thing quit working?

I know this is kind of all over the place, but if anyone has any good ideas, suggestions, or good troubleshooting methods to help isolate the root cause of this issue I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

Thanks in advance...

Oh yeah, not sure if this matters, but for what it's worth the system is currently installed in a 2001 Toyota Sequoia.

Thanks again!
