I am trying to find a good quality, low-cost DVD player for my wife's van.  I am needing a slot load unit, that can be mounted vertically, with the slot facing UP.  It should also have some form of anti-skip in it...

I do NOT want any form of built-in tuner, amplifier, LCD, or anything else - just a simple DVD player...

For reference, the van in question is a 2002 Nissan Quest GLE with the factory installed video system, with the VCP in the center console.  My wife wants to upgrade it to DVD, but she is VERY particular - she wants to maintain full control on the player from the front, and wants it to look as stock as possible...

The VCP that is in there now is a Daewoo unit, installed in a special removable chassis, like the old removable chassis stereos.  We're not concerned with retainig the removable aspect of the player - but we need to make it integrate in the factory location - in the center console between the front seats, with the slot facing up...

Can anyone suggest a player to suit what I am looking for, or am I basically S.O.L.

This I know, but I have not found an Alpine that fits what I'm looking for - everything I find has all the extra features that not only do I not need, but cannot use, and would make a disaster of what I am trying to accomplish.

If you KNOW of an Alpine unit that fits what i'm looking for, please let me know the model number...

I have used loads of stuff from this place, based in uk, very cheap, good reliable stuff, will ship out to you no probs, this dvd will work mounted in any position and has anti skip, standard din size unit, remote control (comes with remote eye extender so you can hide the unit but still control with remote), can get in black or silver front, mounting cage and wiring loom, all you need extra is a few phono cables to connect up.

Ok, here's the list of the DVD players I was abe to CONFIRM could be mounted vertically, and are easily available in the US, as I need.
Audiovox AVD300
Lanzar SVDVD5
Pyle PLDVD120
Pyle PLDVDMP4
Sony MV-101
Out of these, which would any of you guys suggest...
As for Alpine, the ONLY thing I've found is the PKG-RSE1 package, but I cannot find anything to confirm whether or not the DVD player can be mounted vertically, as I need it to.
