Hey!  Whats up with the 2005 chrysler 300c?

We are trying to install a pioneer avic d3 navigation unit into this car.  It is a six speaker boston system.  When we connected a metra CHTO-013 it didnt work, after a conversation with Metras tech, He decided we needed to use a CHTO-01.  After reinstalling with this piece, still no audio.  Metra has went through a number of  trouble shooting tasks with us, like disconnecting the battery, reconnecting the factory HU, Blaah, Blaah, Blaah, and we are now on a unresolved problem list with them.  Great, but that doesnt get my customer on the road.  It is almost like the amp remote is not turning on.  (but it checks out fine at the avic d3) Ha s anyone ran into this?   How do we make this thing work?  Any help is appreciated!  Thanks!

I put a Pioneer Nav in a Chrysler 300 earlier this year and had no problem. I'm gonna assume that you already checked to see if the adapter was needed. The factory radio has only one left and one right audio output. If this is the case then an interface is definately needed.

If there are four pairs of speaker wires then there might be a remote wire in the correct location.

But I have not seen a Boston Acoustic Sound system with a remote turn on wire, they are all data controlled. If you discover the problem please post back. I'd like to know what it was

I've ran into the same problem with the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. There is a fix (at least for the Grand Cherokee, maybe it'll work for the 300 also), the CHTO-013 is updatable. meaning you can go to the Axxess website and load the newest software revision. but you need the USB cable that Metra sells, it's not just a USB cable, it has a 4 pin connector on one end.

and as another note, the CHTO-013 has the VSS, parking brake, and reverse wires also for radios with navigation (I.E. Pioneer D3, N2, ect...), just like the Perph piece.

Well,  After trying a couple of the Metra pieces (just to make sure we didnt have a bad one) We ended up useing a P.A.C. C2RCHY.  And it worked like a champ. It also had the brake, VSS, Reverse etc.  I am not sure what the problem was with the metra part but this solved the problem.   BTW It was a boston system with just two line in wires on the plug.  SO watch out for this problem!
