I just did a 2006 Ford Focus and found a plastic plate to left of steering column on firewall. If the 2000 has one I am sure you probably could drill a hole and run 4 awg through a plastic grommet.

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

Look at the firewall to the left of the brake pedal (inside the car). You will see a knockout in the insulation, peel that out, and there is a plastic grommet you can drill through there. This is assuming an automatic transmission, as that is where the clutch pedal goes on the 5 spd cars.

Wherever I go, that is where I end up......
