Are Battery ring terminals acceptable for a 4 gauge 600W amp install or does the connector cause an amperage bottle neck? Do distribution terminals provide better current flow or just a cleaner connection?

600 watts and 4 gauge should be sufficiant. a connection is a connection, just make sure the batt terminal is clear on residue eg rust proofing

distrib boxes allow for more that 1 amp or accessory to be installed. it also provides a nicer pro look and added protection from shorts if you have the fused type of distribution blocks.
