i want to find out what kind of polarity has the door lock system for a 1994 Vw Golf (Negative or Positive), or at least how can I determine it myself?

positive

|     POWER LOCK        |yellow/red or gray    |+  |   driver door harness in kick |
|     POWER UNLOCK  |RED / black or grn *1  | +  |  driver door harness in kick |

*1 Requires a double pulse to unlock.
