Does anyone know how to disengage the "key in ignition" tone when the door is open (short of unsoldering it)?

I like to listen to the radio with the door open when I'm working on it or hanging out. On my last car I was just able to unplug the buzzer. This one is soldered into a circuit board with the domelight and door trigger assembly.

If there is not other way then to unsolder it. Does anyone know if this can be done without damaging or interfering with anything else?

Chris

snip the light blue wire coming from the key switch and tape it off . it should show ground when key is in ignition.

Will this alter anything else like the door triggers? I have a DEI Viper alarm installed and I don't want to interfere with it.

Thanks,
Chris

You could always put a small toggle switch under the dash. I've done that in the past for the interior lights.

That's a good idea. I might have to do that. What exactly is the light blue wire?
