I have a bit of a problem that I could use some help with. I have a 98 Honda Civic and I recently wired my foglights so that they will only come on when the parking lights are on and the foglight switch is also on. Works fine, minus that I keep blowing a fuse. I've never had any issues when the lights are on, but when I arm my alarm with the foglight switch on (so it ends up flashing with the parking lights), it blows fuse #30 in the diagram. I've had my alarm wired the way it is now with no problems, but the foglights seem to add too much of a load. So I'm assuming I need a relay for the foglights, but I'm not sure how to wire it.

I would like it so that I can have my foglight switch in the "on" position, arm the system, and NOT have the foglights flash. I think that should solve my problem as  it was working fine before. How can I make that possible? Any related diagrams would be super helpful.

Have your foglight switch throw a ground to the relay on pin 85. put the switched 12 volts from your parking lights onto pin 86. Outside the vehicle wire the hot TO the fogs FROM the battery, fused.

On pin 87 ground it, then 30 will have the grond going TO the fogs. I like having a ground go thru the firewall, as well as at the switch. Just in case you got a cheap, or bad switch. Remember, it's just a suggestion.
