first off i have 4 jl w6's and i dont know if i should use 4 or 3 subs. second i need help on a box design and dimensions. its going in a 98 maxima.

What size woofers? That would help. And what size amp will you be pushing them with?

I built an enclosure in a 96 maxima using the spare tire well for two xtant 15's. The enclosure only rose about 5 inches higher than the floor of the trunk and had approximately 3.75 cubic feet of internal airspace. 4 tens will fit in that box but if you have twelves you will have to give up more trunk space.
