I have a starter/alarm installed and working. My car is a convertible and I have the top wired so I can put it down with the remote. However my remote's last remaining trigger is pulse only.

What I am trying to do is to have the pulse trigger a relay to close 30 to 87a, then the next time I press the button close 30 to 87.

Anyone know of a relay like this, or possibly a simple circuit I could make?

If I can find such a relay or a circuit then I could use the same constant trigger to put the top up and down, just using the relay to switch between up and down.

Am I making sense?

I know I cannot latch the roof, but this is just for the cool factor.

All you need is a latching relay. You can find some here near the bottom of the page https://www.hosfelt.com/en-us/dept_111.html or if you have enough SPDT relays laying around,  you can use this https://www.the12volt.com/relays/page5.asp#lsp.

A latching relay is exactly what I am looking for. Thank you.
