I have a 1994 Dodge Ram Van B250, 3.9L engine. Whenever I am sitting idle the enine turns off as if it were done by the ignition. I have replaced the entire electrical system including the ecm. I am at a loss as to what to do about it. It has started doing it while I am driving also. there is no consistency in when it happens. there are no warning signs. I am not even getting a check engine light.

When was the last time you changed your battery is your alternator belt loose . Put your battery and a your alternator on a voltometer it should be around 12-14 volts car cranked and a little under 12 off. If you get these numbers on a voltometer you might want to get your fuel pump checked also. It could be electrical or mechanical

I replaced everything that was electrical. It turned out to be corroded pigtail connectors on my automatic shut off relay. I replaced the relay 3 times and never looked at the connector. Thanks for the input

Ps there was also a short in the wire going to the ignition coil.
