I have been looking at the misc gold battery connections that go on the post and then have like 2-4ga and 2-8ga distribution points, (at the risk of sounding ingnorant) I do not have a 4 post battery, so how does one fit one of these on without modifying the car connection? or are you supposed to cut the car connection and tap into one of those points, the problem is that on the 04 Hyundai Sonata there is more than one connection to the battery clamp.

Yes, you will have to connect your vehicles' wiring to the new terminal.

not neccesarily, some batteries have 2 post ands then also have the screw in post, gm cars usually use the screw type, you can use the post as normal and then use the side screws for added items

GM batteries are not normally dual post batteries. they are known as "group 78" or "group 75" batteries. They are the same size in dimentions as a "group 34" battery which uses top posts. jar754 is right, 34-78 dual post batteries are perfect, will one fit in your hyundai though?, i'm pretty sure it wont
