Im tring to make a panel 17 wide and 7 foot 6 inches tall.I want it strong and no or as little flex as possible and thin.It will be used as a blade on a wind mill [vath]. I have 18 oz woven roven. So far i used epoxi resin which i found out was the wrong type. Any help would be great. I heard that you can use cardboard for strength also.Don't know.
Tks
Johnny

I don't know about glassing, but structure can make it strong and light. Honey combs and perpendicular angles both remove some flex. I assume your making half an airfoil for the blade, so perhaps a a grid glassed into the foil would make up for less than perfect glassing. You can use pretty much anything to make the grid up, but you would probably want to use light materials like plastic straws and form the glass tight around them.
