any one have the elecytrical diagram for the driver power seat for chevy silverado 2000

seat heater not working.

disconnect the wire harness that goes up the seat back with only 2 wires in it.  its for the seat heater element on the back.  test for continuity between the 2 wires. the ristance should be between .5-2 ohms  if there is none then you have an open in the heating element. the seat heater then will not operate because the bottom heating element and seat back element are wired in series. this is common problem with GM seat heaters, especially if you have power seats and you always move the bottom cusion up and down as this ends up rubbing the element wire in half somewhere. if you find you have no continuity post back and i can give you the repair procedure. you wont have to replace the element, it can be fixed ive done it numerous times on GM's.

on the green plug that go to the back i get 38.2 ohms.
