I have a 1993 Ford Explorer and bought some used seats out of an Eddie Bauer edition. Seats i bought are power but mine arent. How much trouble is it to run power to these seats and how would i go about that?? With just 2 wires per seat wouldnt think their would be much to it but i want to do it right. Thanks for any input guys.

check your owners manual and see if there is a spot in the fuse box for power seats. i would start there. dont t-tap your 12v for the seats. you over load that circuit. put the seats on their own fuse. your book should tell you what size fuse. have you checked to see if the wires are under the carpet??

I havent checked yet to see if they already have wires ran or not but i had thought about that. As far as checking the owners manual would do that but truck was nice enough to not come with it so...I have a Haynes manual for ir but havent checked that yet. Will probably try to put them in either later today or tomorrow. Will look more in depth for wires then when i have the old seats out.

Ok i guess i shouldve investigated before i asked for help. Wires are already there and hooked up. Set the seat in place and hooked up the plugs, presto, everything worked fine. Thanks!!
