Who makes a good fm booster? My Alpine doesn't have good FM reception. I know a few years ago Winegard made a decent one, but I was wondering if anybody knew of a better one?

I've never had issues with an Alpine not having good FM reception.  Are you sure the antenna is hooked up correctly?

Yes, it's connected correctly. I had the same problem in my Toyota and now it's in my Grand Am.

FM boosters are junk. All they do is amplify everything you are already receiving including noise and static. Check your antenna. Many Grand Am's are know to have issues with their antennas. Alpine radios have a good tuner, but your radio may have a defect. Test your antenna with a digital meter first. You should get less than 0.5 ohms resistance to ground at the radio shield end and the same reading for the antenna lead tip to the mast. You should get an infinite reading between the lead tip and shield.

Thanks for the tip. I had the same problem with the same Alpine in my Supra. I put it in the Grand Am when I bought a Pioneer for the Supra. The Pioneer picks up good in the Supra and the Alpine doesn't in the Grand Am. I'll check to see if maybe the radio has a problem.
