Is the GPS plugged into the cigarette lighter?

Please describe your issue a little more fully.  What do you mean by "pulling current away" and how are you measuring this?  What's the vehicle?  Is the GPS on all the time?

I would kill to have one of those jewels. There is a very simple fix for your GPS, I just need to know a little bit about how you are powering the unit. Also, do you think you may just have a weak battery?

I do have a solution for your situation, I just need a few questions answered.
