Hello i have a sony cdx-ca720x cd receiver, i hooked it up and i attached an ipod cable (ipod to rca) to the bus-in on the back of the receiver and it doesnt work? any idea on how to get this to work? thanx

Go into your menu and activate AUX input. Set it to on.

I don't seem to have that option in the menu on the deck. Any other way of makin this work?

Some manufacturers do allow you to turn the input on if needed. I do not recall seeing a Sony deck that had that option. I am not saying that there is not one out there, but I have no seen one. As far as I know the only way the BUS IN will work is if there is a CD Changer connected to the deck. The data cable controls the changer and the BUS IN provides a path for the audio. Without the changer the deck will not switch to that input.
