just a quick q.   whats a better box for hard hitting bass   sealed or bandpass and why . im using a memphis mojo and 2 old school hifonix 10's (4ohm) that i cant seem to blow up.   thanks in advance

this site has all the info on that that you need. see woofer enclosures. I like the ported box myself

Ported are hardest hitting, but usually cant handle as much power as sealed. Sealed enclosures usually have a more evenly distributed bandwidth(sound better). Bandpass usually have a more narrow bandwidth but can get very loud.
Its all about trade offs.
Just get lots off power and youll be laughing.

sealed seems to be the most natural sounding and the most accurate reproduction...ported hits a bit harder than sealed, but you seem to usually give up some SQ...bandpass is typically the loudest, but is a one note wonder at that point, meaning on one frequency it will pound away and maximize the one frequency it is tuned to, but will sound like ass on pretty much any other frequency, ESPECIALLY any frequency lower than where it is tuned to...
