On a 1997 Chevy Blazer?

I missed the white wire on inital hook-up now the blasted Service Engine Soon light is on and won't go off.

Unhook the ground wire from the battery and let it sit for 15 minutes. When you hook the ground wire back up make sure that it doesn't arc or it might trip it again.
