I know this has been talked about some in the past but, I have set the calibration to my region (9-Michigan). However, all I can get the mirror to display is N an NW and it is random. I have driven several miles and several turns since setting the region. What I'm wondering is.....I have it installed in a Polaris Ranger and I have a windshield wiper motor mounted near the mirror. Is the motor from the wipers causing the problem? Or is there something else I cando?

P.S. The thermometer works fine.

Normally you need to set the region first as you have done. You then need to put the mirror into calibration mode. Most mirrors you will need to hold down a button for quite some time until the direction starts to flash or it says "Cal". You then need to drive the vehicle in a wide circle (45 feet in diameter) and drive about 5 mph. until the mirror calibrates. The compass will likely be thrown off only when the wiper motor is used depending on how close it is and how much electromagnetic interference it creates.
