Has anyone else found that product quality was dropped.  Most noticed with mounting brackets, things like the kind of plastic, colours (exspecially painted to match) that are not quite a match, and even fit not being good.  Having to grind openings for interface modules so the harness can plug in is getting annoying.   Someone is saving some money on these things.

(Sorry Howie, to tired to make sure my english is proper today.)

Absolutely.
It is the obvious consequence of economic policies and their subsequent implementation.
Plus lack of understanding of fundumental principles (read: management - eg, yes men vs yes attitudes; individual bonuses in quality companies; etc.

And it's not money saving, it is getting more money....

Move production from Northern Europe/UK/US to third world country, save money, get prettier product with better packaging, sit back and wait for the complaints. But you don't care, you're making 3 x the profit.
I'm not going to quote the obvious examples from our business or equally obvious examples from aerospace.

I have noticed a definite change in quality with some dash kits and wire harnesses!
