I am doing some research to get an overall view of the mobile electronics industry as a whole.
Can anyone provide any info, or perhaps point me in the right direction to obtaining things like industry trends, what the industry is worth etc?

Internet Sales- so cheap, people can afford to buy things and blow them up and just buy more things. Probably great for the manufacturer's.
Unfortunately the industry is similar to all interests that are not a necessity in life..dirt bike riding, snowboarding etc. Its a extra, a luxury by recognition... So when it takes a hit with the economy, the hit is usually felt more than other businesses in the industrial market.
One other thing: The professional recognition to this industry has not hit home yet. All the so called- "installers" that may be able to make things work, they dont realize how lucky they really are. The ones that end up in catastrophe are the case in point. By that I mean- so much as ruin a decent product. If some device is jeopardized due to lack of knowledge in a installation, or if it operating under full potential, then it should have been done by someone with professional knowledge or "professional practice".-(which more closely describes my point)
