I've got a small timer circuit, that has an input/output relay rated at 5A @ 220V AC.    I'm going to use this timer to power a 12V DC thermoelectric cooler. I'm wondering if I could run the 12V DC through the existing relay, or do I need another relay?   Thanks

How much current does your cooler pull? As long as you stay under 5A you won't have a problem.

Thanks for the reply Kevin.

The cooler pulls 5A @ 12V DC. I'm guessing I should run the + lead through the relay?
